Water Recycling
Water, a life giver, a very important resource, is handled with care in Saideepa. The company requires water for multiple purposes. Drinking, cleaning, production, gardening etc are the various uses of water at Saideepa. The company has installed a high quality Plant in the factory. This plant has a reverse osmosis membrane. It is a semi-permeable membrane that allows the passage of water molecules & Filters the majority of dissolved salts, organics, bacteria and pyrogens. This ensures clean water for drinking. The waste water is used for other purposes.
Water quality is tested at a professional certified laboratory and we ensure that the IS 10500 standard is maintained. The standard was adopted by the Bureau of Indian Standards with the objectives to assess the quality of water resources, and to check the effectiveness of water treatment and supply by the concerned authorities.
Rain Water Harvesting
Saideepa management cares about the environment and has invested in water tanks at the correct locations to capture the rain water. As on date they have more than 20 such rain water harvesting pits and tanks which collect the rain water and send to the RO plant for purification. The storage is done as per the scientific methods. This does not allow mosquitoes to breed or spread or other water borne diseases.
Metal Scrap Recycling
Machining is our Major activity. We have over 100 machining centers which deliver precision products. The company management takes all care towards collection of this scrap and sending them back to our steel suppliers. This enable almost negligible wastage in the process. The steel prices are escalating in the country and we have been successful because of our stringent metal recycling policies.
Paint metal cans are stored in a separate area. These are also recycled on annual basis along with the other metal scrap. Saideepa has purchased a bundling machine which bundles all metal scrap and makes it easy for handling the storage.
Dust Recycling
Our process shotblasting and we have a complete setup. This Machine produces large amounts of shotblasting dust which can pollute the environment. This dust is periodically collected and disposed to the contractors. They are using this dust for the purpose of landfilling and other construction activities.
Our paint shop uses spray technology for painting of products. The particles in the chamber are collected by suction through dust filters and this is collected in a closed container. This paint dust is then recycled for use.
Battery Recycling
The used batteries contain a number of heavy metals as well as toxic chemicals. These have to be disposed very carefully. If these are disposed in regular method, it leads to contamination of soil and also pollutes the ground water. Saideepa team ensures that when the battery life is over, all the used batteries are collected and stock count is done. At the end of the year, they are given to the authorized registered dealers. These dealers buy back the batteries and ensure that they are recycled in a professional way.
Material Recycling
As per our company Environmental policy which is in line with the ISO 14001:2015, we are regularly recycling all the boxes, large cartons, paper, wood and thermocol. This is also done through the authorized registered dealers.
Oil Recycling
The oils & lubricants can be recycled & reused. It is better to dispose this waste only after it is processed. Some portion can be reused into fuel oils or used as raw materials in the petroleum industry.
At Saideepa, we not only recycle our oil & lubricants, but also process oil-soaked cotton waste to dispose max amount of oil.
